Welcome !

"The Himmotthan Society works in the field of rural development in the Central Himalayan regions of Northern India. The various programmes of the Society reach approximately 900 villages across the northern states of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, directly involving over 50,000 families. By 2012 the reach of our programmes will extend to over 75,000 households in the region."

" Himmotthan was initially designed as a monitoring and evaluation cell of the Sir Ratan Tata Trust, Mumbai, the oldest private philanthropic organization in the country, with extensive countrywide development programmes. In 2007 the Cell registered as an independent Society, in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, but continues to receive primary support and backing from the Trust. "
